İ. Renay Onur is a senior corporate finance/business development professional and a social entrepreneur, having worked across Turkey and Eastern Europe in the last 18 years. He is long distance runner, Dale Carnegie Personal Development Trainer and among the best charity runners in Turkey.
Mr. Onur established ADIM ADIM (www.adimadim.org) as an “umbrella” initiative in 2007, with a vision to become a model social organisation, enabling individuals and organizations to donate to NGOs through organized sports activities and to act as an incubator for charity running. Started 6, currently ADIM ADIM has over 13,000 members who have participated in activities to raise over 14 mn TL (over 6.1 mn USD) and it became a good citizen movement. ADIM ADIM funding has become 30% of all individual funding for these NGOs, and essentially the largest crowd-funding platform. Renay Onur was named as an Ashoka Fellow in 2014. Currently, he is working on an another social mission – with a goal to enhance transparency of the social sector in Turkey.
