Marcel van Brenk is a partner at VODW, a leading strategy consultancy based in The Netherlands. Throughout his career he concluded multiple big data assignments for a number of blue chip financial services companies across Europe. He studied business economics at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, specializing in marketing, and has worked as a strategic marketing consultant since 1997.
He specializes in building data driven organizations, drawing on both qualitative and quantitative insights. He firmly believes that data will, by far, be the most important change agent of the future.
Marcel publishes regular articles and speaks at conferences and in-company events. He is the author of the book ‘Down to Earth, e-commerce strategies after the hype’, is a member of various juries, including as Chairman of the Dutch Interactive Awards, and is a visiting lecturer several business schools. Marcel has published numerous articles and interviews on financial services strategy, big data and customer centricity.
